Te Kauwhata Primary School is situated in Te Kauwhata village which is approximately 3km from State Highway 1, midway between Hamilton and Auckland and within the Waikato District Council boundaries.
We are a contributing school with the majority of our students leaving after Year 6 to attend Te Kauwhata College, which caters for students from Year 7 through to Year 13. Our two schools enjoy close ties and relations in the interests of our students and the community.
Currently we have 11 classrooms operating with a whole school roll reaching approximately 270 students by the end of each year. We offer Reading Recovery and other small group literacy and numeracy intervention programmes for students who require a little extra to accelerate their learning.
